GEORGE TOWN, June 9 — Motorists travelling along Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Highway are advised to expect periodic night-time lane closures from June 1 to July 31.
To facilitate preliminary works for the Penang Mutiara Line LRT project. The closures will take place daily from midnight to 6am.
And will affect the inner lane near Sungai Pinang as well as the leftmost lane in front of the Indah Water Konsortium Penang unit.
The temporary traffic measures are required for piling investigations and utility detection works under the LRT project’s CMC1 package.
Remaining lanes will remain open, while traffic personnel, safety barriers and directional signage will be deployed throughout the works period.
