CUPERTINO, June 9 — Apple has unveiled iOS 27, introducing a wide range of performance upgrades, Apple Intelligence features and refinements to its Liquid Glass design language.
The update includes a new transparency slider for Liquid Glass, sharper app icons, rebuilt search indexing and faster system responsiveness across supported iPhone models.
Apple said apps will launch up to 30 per cent faster, while AirDrop transfers are now up to 80 per cent quicker. The company has also improved Spotlight search, Mail ranking,.
Maps Flyover, Health tracking and Photos sharing capabilities, including support for iCloud Shared Albums on Android and Windows devices.
New features include AirPods Custom EQ, enhanced cycle tracking, smarter parental controls and improved battery efficiency.
iOS 27 also introduces hundreds of quality-of-life improvements, including smoother animations, faster Safari performance, more accurate Maps data.
Upgraded Shortcuts, improved Messages syncing and expanded Apple Intelligence capabilities. According to Apple, all devices currently running iOS 26 will support iOS 27.
