KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — Sony is celebrating two major milestones in 2026: its 80th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the Alpha camera system.
Since the launch of the Alpha 100 in 2006, Sony has transformed digital imaging through innovations such as the Alpha 7 full-frame mirrorless series, Alpha 9 sports cameras and the flagship Alpha 1.
Today, the Alpha ecosystem includes more than 80 native E-mount lenses and advanced technologies such as AI-powered autofocus, 8K video recording and high-resolution sensors.
Sony said it remains focused on advancing imaging through artificial intelligence, image sensors and professional content creation tools.
The company recently unveiled the new Sony Alpha 7R VI as part of its next-generation imaging lineup.
