GEORGE TOWN, June 9 — Motorists are advised to expect temporary road closures in Bayan Lepas on June 21 to facilitate the Pantai Half Marathon 2026 organised by Lions GT Mutiara.
The closures will be in effect between 2am and 7.30am, with Jalan Mayang Pasir 3 remaining closed until 8am. Affected routes include Jalan Mahsuri, Jalan Kampung Jawa.
The Georgetown-bound section of Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Highway and the Bayan Lepas Expressway Viaduct. Organisers have urged road users to plan their journeys in advance.
Use alternative routes where possible and follow directions from traffic personnel. The public is also encouraged to monitor official Pantai Half Marathon communication channels for updates.
