KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 – Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said Budget 2027 will continue prioritising development expenditure despite ongoing economic challenges and global uncertainties.
He said all ministries have submitted their development proposals, with detailed evaluations scheduled to begin next month.
Akmal added that the government remains committed to implementing the 13th Malaysia Plan, which includes a RM619 billion development spending target over five years.
He also announced that a special committee led by the Finance Ministry will study issues related to foreign e-commerce products and market competition to ensure a level playing field for local businesses.—
