GEORGE TOWN, June 11 — Motorists travelling through the Komtar area are advised to expect major traffic disruptions from June 12 to 13 due to utility relocation works for the Penang Mutiara Line LRT project.
The temporary closure will affect three lanes along Jalan Magazine, from Kee Cheng Hardware Trading Sdn Bhd to the Lebuh McNair junction.
The leftmost lane will remain open to maintain traffic flow. The closure is required for preliminary works under the Mutiara Line CMC1 package.
Traffic personnel, safety barriers, cones and flagmen will be deployed on-site, and road users are encouraged to follow directional signage and plan their journeys accordingly.
