ROME, June 11 — World Skate officially launched the World Skateboarding Tour (WST) World Cup Rome 2026, marking the first Olympic qualification event on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
The event will run from June 7 to 21 across two venues in Rome, featuring Park competitions at The Spot Skatepark and Street contests at Colle Oppio Park near the Colosseum.
More than 440 skateboarders from 66 countries are expected to compete for equal prize purses of US$200,000 per discipline.
World Skate president Sabatino Aracu described Rome as a global skateboarding hub and a key destination on the Olympic pathway.
