PASIR MAS, June 13 — Tong Bus & Tour Service Sdn. Bhd. has been fined RM8,000 by the Sessions Court in Pasir Mas after pleading guilty to failing to use a licensed tourist guide during a domestic tourism activity.
Judge Zulkpli Abdullah found the company guilty under the Tourism Industry Regulations 1992. The offence carries a maximum penalty of RM50,000, five years’ imprisonment, or both.
The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture stressed that violations under the Tourism Industry Act 1992 are serious criminal offences and warned that strict enforcement action will continue against offenders.
