PETALING JAYA, June 14 — PAS election director Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said Perikatan Nasional-led states — Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Perlis .
Are likely to hold their state elections concurrently with the 16th General Election. Sanusi said the move would reduce costs and improve the efficiency of election machinery.
He added that he had discussed the matter with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, who was reportedly open to further discussions.
Sanusi also expressed confidence that Perikatan Nasional could strengthen its position in Kedah, including efforts to capture additional parliamentary and state seats currently held by Pakatan Harapan.
