KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — PAS has endorsed Parti Wawasan Negara’s application to join Perikatan Nasional and confirmed the return of Hamzah Zainudin as Opposition Leader.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said the coalition was open to accepting Parti Wawasan Negara, while Bersatu was free to decide its own future within PN.
Meanwhile, PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the party had always wanted Hamzah to remain Opposition Leader due to his performance and support among opposition MPs.
He said Hamzah’s move to lead Parti Wawasan Negara removed earlier concerns linked to his expulsion from Bersatu, paving the way for his reinstatement.
