PETALING JAYA, June 17 — Muhyiddin Yassin said Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) is prepared to face PAS in upcoming elections if both parties contest the same seats.
Following PAS’ decision to end political cooperation with Bersatu. Speaking after a Supreme Council meeting, Muhyiddin stressed that Bersatu will remain within Perikatan Nasional (PN).
And contest under the coalition’s banner in the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections. He described PN as a strong political brand and maintained that no single party could remove Bersatu from the coalition without consensus.
Muhyiddin also expressed concern over the lack of PN discussions on election preparations, saying coordination meetings are crucial ahead of the upcoming polls.
