GEORGE TOWN, June 17 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the long-awaited Perak-Penang water transfer project has entered its final stage of negotiations.
With a formal agreement expected to be signed as early as next week in Ipoh. Chow said both state governments have tentatively agreed on the timeline.
Although several technical details and preconditions are still being refined before the deal is finalised. The project is aimed at securing long-term raw and treated water supplies.
