GEORGE TOWN, June 19 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has begun a two-day working visit to Penang to attend programmes held in conjunction with the National Journalists’ Day (HAWANA) 2026 celebrations.
Fahmi’s itinerary includes the Media Retreat Programme, a state government appreciation dinner and the RIUH Pi HAWANA carnival.
The highlight will be the HAWANA 2026 Grand Finale tomorrow at PICCA @ Butterworth Arena, themed “Media Berintegriti, Teras Kredibiliti”.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the event, which is expected to gather about 1,000 media practitioners from Malaysia and abroad.
