GEORGE TOWN, June 19 — The Penang Economic Forum 2026 brought together more than 300 business leaders, SMEs, government agencies and financial institutions.
To discuss opportunities for the state’s next phase of economic growth. Officiated by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, the forum was jointly organised by RHB Banking Group, Penang Institute and the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives.
Discussions focused on sustainable financing, talent development, SME growth and access to capital markets.
Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong also participated in a fireside chat on strengthening Malaysia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Organisers said the forum aims to foster partnerships and support Penang’s long-term economic resilience.
