PENANG, June 21 — MKS Inc. has officially opened its new Supercenter Factory in Penang, a major investment aimed at supporting growing global demand for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
The facility spans 17 acres with 350,000 square feet of built-up space and forms part of a long-term investment exceeding RM400 million.
Officiated by Anwar Ibrahim, the project is expected to create more than 1,000 jobs upon full completion.
Industry leaders said the investment strengthens Malaysia’s position in the global semiconductor supply chain.
While supporting advanced manufacturing, talent development and the goals of the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 and National Semiconductor Strategy.
