MUAR, June 22 — Muhyiddin Yassin has reaffirmed that Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia will remain a component of Perikatan Nasional despite recent tensions with PAS.
Speaking at the launch of Bersatu’s Johor election machinery, Muhyiddin said the party helped build the coalition and had no intention of leaving.
He stressed that any decision to remove a component party must be agreed through the coalition’s Presidential Council.
Muhyiddin also confirmed Bersatu will contest the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections under the Perikatan Nasional banner if permitted.
While urging members to stay focused on issues affecting the rakyat.
