BATU FERRINGHI, June 22 — Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and Shangri-La Golden Sands marked Dragon Boat Festival 2026 by hosting a Dragon Boat Model Challenge involving 53 students from SJKC Pai Chai.
The programme encouraged students aged 10 to 12 to build dragon boat models using recycled materials, combining environmental awareness with cultural learning.
A showcase and floating test were held to evaluate creativity, innovation and performance. The top 10 participants received prizes, with the top three awarded premium hampers.
Organisers said the initiative reflects their commitment to youth development, sustainability and community engagement.
