KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 — Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) has unveiled three additional candidates for the upcoming Johor state election.
Party president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz announced that M. Premanand will contest Bukit Batu, Muhammad Amir Fiqri will stand in Maharani.
And party secretary-general Ainie Haziqah Shafii will contest Simpang Jeram. The announcement was made during the Malam Suara Muda event.
Amira also said Muda considers the increasing number of young candidates fielded by political parties a positive development for Malaysia’s political landscape.
Johor voters will head to the polls on July 11, with nomination day set for June 27.
