KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 — Public health experts have emphasised the importance of harm reduction approaches in preventing HIV infections and protecting public health.
They highlighted Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) as an effective tool that can significantly reduce the risk of HIV transmission when taken as prescribed.
Experts said PrEP should be used alongside health education, counselling and regular screening. They added that Malaysia’s successful harm reduction programmes.
