GEORGE TOWN, June 24 — Police have arrested six men aged between 26 and 38 in connection with a machete attack at a Chinese temple in Jelutong that left two local men seriously injured.
Penang police chief Dennis Leong Kwang Keng said the incident occurred at about 4.30am on June 21 and was believed to stem from a prior dispute between one of the victims and the suspects.
Police seized a parang, mobile phones, clothing, two motorcycles and a car during the operation. The suspects have been remanded for seven days until June 28.
Investigations are being conducted under Sections 326 and 120B of the Penal Code, while two more suspects are still being tracked.
