KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said his latest approval rating should serve as motivation to work harder rather than become complacent.
Responding to a recent Merdeka Center survey, Anwar said recognition from the public should encourage leaders to continuously improve government performance.
The survey, conducted between March 12 and April 9, gave Anwar a 52 per cent approval rating, the highest among Malaysian political leaders.
It also found that 42 per cent of respondents believe the country is moving in the right direction despite ongoing global economic uncertainties.
