KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 — PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said PAS will not deploy its election machinery to assist Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia candidates in the Johor state election.
Despite both contesting under the Perikatan Nasional banner. Abdul Hadi said political cooperation between PAS and Bersatu has ended, with each party running separate campaign operations.
He also dismissed speculation that the split was merely an election strategy, insisting it is genuine. PAS is contesting 11 seats and is targeting the role of Opposition in Johor.
Rather than forming the next state government, while remaining confident of winning all seats it is contesting.
