KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 — Road safety activist Shahrim Tamrin has welcomed the CERMAT MADANI programme but called for stronger incentives for motorists with clean driving records.
He said the initiative marks a positive shift towards rewarding responsible driving through insurance discounts linked to MyJPJ records.
However, Shahrim suggested expanding benefits through higher No-Claim Discounts, telematics-based incentives and additional insurance coverage.
He said the programme could become the foundation of a broader road safety ecosystem that encourages safer driving habits and reduces accidents.
