BUKIT MERTAJAM, June 29 — Penang will receive additional funding under the Community Sports Fund after becoming one of the first states to fully utilise its RM800,000 allocation this year.
Youth and Sports Minister Mohammed Taufiq Johari announced. He said the National Youth and Sports Department will submit an application for the extra allocation.
Which will support grassroots sports and youth development programmes. Taufiq added that Penang has also received RM500,000 through the Sports Matching Grant.
And RM106,000 for youth organisations this year. He encouraged youth groups to apply for the RM250 million Sejati Madani fund.
Emphasised the need for continuous, high-impact programmes that benefit local communities.
