KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is set to launch Malaysia’s redesigned international passport on Tuesday, featuring 94 security enhancements to strengthen protection against forgery.
The upgraded passport includes holographic elements, ultraviolet (UV) printing, hidden security features, enhanced binding threads and unique page designs.
Compared with 49 security features in the current version. Earlier, Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail announced plans to introduce upgraded passports
And MyKad as part of the government’s efforts to enhance identity document security.
