KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 — Berjaya Food Bhd has exited its loss-making Paris Baguette business in Malaysia by selling its 50% stake in Berjaya Paris Baguette Sdn Bhd.

To joint venture partner Paris Baguette Singapore Pte Ltd for a nominal RM1. As part of the deal, Berjaya Food settled RM3.91 million in liabilities before completing the transaction.

Since launching in January 2023, the bakery chain accumulated an unaudited net loss of RM67.09 million and net liabilities of RM33.41 million as of December 31, 2025.

The group said the divestment will eliminate future losses and allow it to focus on its core businesses and growth opportunities.
