KUALA LUMPUR, July 4 — Anwar Ibrahim said the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) remains on track and urged political leaders not to politicise the project during the Johor state election campaign.
Responding to Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi’s call to expedite the master plan, Anwar stressed that JS-SEZ is a federal initiative implemented in collaboration with the Johor government.
He added that the agreement is between the Malaysian and Singaporean prime ministers, while the Ministry of Economy has already clarified issues surrounding the project’s implementation.
