GEORGE TOWN, July 4 — Efinix Inc. has opened a new office at GBS @ Penang Airport to expand its engineering, research and development capabilities in FPGA technology and edge AI.

Co-Founder and CTO Tony Ngai said the expansion reflects Efinix’s long-term commitment to investing in talent and programmable computing.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the investment further strengthens Penang’s position as Malaysia’s leading integrated circuit (IC) design hub.

Now home to more than 50 IC design-related companies.
