GEORGE TOWN, July 4 — The Ascott Limited has officially opened HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Sunshine Penang, marking the HARRIS brand’s first property in Malaysia.
Located within Sunshine Central in Ayer Itam, the hotel offers 284 rooms and suites, including HARRIS Rooms, Suites and Family Suites, alongside direct access to retail, dining and lifestyle amenities.
Facilities include Harris Bistro, a swimming pool, children’s play area, gymnasium and high-speed Wi-Fi. Designed to cater to leisure travellers, business guests, families and medical tourists.
The hotel also features a pillarless Grand Ballroom capable of hosting up to 1,000 guests, supported by modern meeting rooms and event facilities for conferences, weddings and corporate functions.
To celebrate its opening, the hotel is offering HARRIS Rooms from RM308+ per night for bookings and stays until October 31, 2026. Located near Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si Temple and several private hospitals, the hotel aims to strengthen Penang’s position as a destination for tourism, business events and medical travel.
