PAGOH, July 5 — Muhyiddin Yassin has questioned attempts to link the Johor state election with a possible royal pardon for former prime minister Najib Razak.
Muhyiddin said Najib had already been convicted and stressed that the July 11 election is about choosing Johor’s next state government.
Separately, PKR deputy secretary-general Aidi Amin Yazid said a state election should not be used as a platform to reinterpret legal matters.
Adding that voters should focus on the state’s future rather than individual court cases.
