GEORGE TOWN, July 5 — Several new water infrastructure projects by Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP)are set to strengthen water supply reliability.
Particularly for residents and businesses in South Seberang Perai (SPS). Once completed, treated water for SPS will be sourced directly from Sungai Kerian.
Replacing the current system that transmits treated water from the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant in North Seberang Perai. The change will free up capacity at Sungai Dua.
Allowing more treated water to be redirected to meet growing demand in North Seberang Peraiand Central Seberang Perai, improving the overall resilience and efficiency of Penang’s water supply network.
