PUTRAJAYA, July 7 — Transport Minister Anthony Loke said Malaysia’s Low Altitude Economy (LAE) framework is expected to be unveiled by the fourth quarter of 2026.
Speaking at the inaugural LAE Forum 2026, Loke said the framework will provide a structured roadmap for the development of drone, advanced air mobility and low-altitude aviation activities.
He added that the government aims to create a safe and coordinated environment for industry participation and investment.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia has been tasked with leading the development of the regulatory, operational and governance framework supporting the sector’s growth.
