KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 — Badminton Association of Malaysia has become the first badminton body in the region to introduce an AI-powered Instant Review System.
At a domestic junior tournament during the AFFIN 100PLUS Junior Elite Tour Finals 2026. Developed by Revealtek Sdn Bhd, the BWF-approved system reviews line-call challenges.
Using AI and 480fps cameras, delivering decisions within seconds. BAM said the technology enhances transparency while giving young players exposure to international-standard officiating.
The system will next be deployed at the Singapore International Challenge in August, with Revealtek targeting a pilot launch of its Electronic Line Calls system in September.
