GEORGE TOWN, July 9 — Motorists have called for a review of the 40km/h speed limit on the ramp linking Jalan Tunku Kudin to the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
After claiming the sudden drop from 80km/h has resulted in numerous speeding summonses. Dennis Lim Kwang Keng defended the speed limit, saying it is necessary due to the sharp curve.
And the risk of vehicles skidding, especially during wet conditions. Meanwhile, Connie Tan Hooi Peng said she has received multiple complaints and has requested a review with the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and the Public Works Department (JKR).
She added that police speed enforcement at the location has been temporarily suspended pending further technical assessment.
