GEORGE TOWN, July 10 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the dispute over Kedah’s demand to increase annual lease payments from RM10 million to RM100 million is a matter for the Federal Government.
As the payments are made by Putrajaya and not the Penang state government. Chow said Penang has not received any legal correspondence from Kedah regarding the issue.
Separately, he said Penang now contributes 45% of Malaysia’s medical tourism revenue, generating more than RM1.1 billion from over 500,000 international patients last year.
While reaffirming the state’s commitment to expanding healthcare investment and creating more high-quality jobs.
