BUKIT KAYU HITAM, July 11 — Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Thailand Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul have officially launched the new road.
Linking the Bukit Kayu Hitam Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex and Thailand’s Sadao CIQ Complex.
Anwar said the project will strengthen cross-border connectivity, trade and economic cooperation while supporting plans for a Malaysia-Thailand border economic zone.
Both countries also reaffirmed their commitment to achieving US$30 billion in bilateral trade by 2027.
