JOHOR BAHRU, July 12 — Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Onn Hafiz Ghazi was officially sworn in as Johor Menteri Besar after BN’s landslide victory in the state election.
The oath-taking ceremony was held before Regent of Johor Tunku Ismail Idris at Istana Bukit Serene after Onn Hafiz received his letter of appointment.
Earlier, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim granted an audience to Barisan Nasional chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Onn Hafiz.
At Istana Pasir Pelangi following BN’s victory, where the coalition secured 48 of 56 seats and a two-thirds majority.
