CUPERTINO, July 13 — Apple is reportedly developing its M7 Ultra chip with support for up to 1.5TB of unified memory, according to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
If introduced, the configuration would match the highest memory capacity offered on the 2019 Intel-based Mac Pro, marking a major milestone for Apple Silicon.
However, Gurman noted ongoing global memory shortages could affect availability. Before the M7 Ultra, Apple is expected to launch the M5 Ultra later this year with up to 768GB of unified memory.
