PUTRAJAYA, July 13 — The Federal Court has upheld the acquittal of Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman on four charges involving RM1 million in Armada funds.
After dismissing the prosecution’s appeal in a 2–1 majoritydecision. Federal Court judges Datuk Che Mohd Ruzima Ghazali and Datuk Collin Lawrence Sequerah ruled.
That the Court of Appeal had correctly acquitted Syed Saddiq. While Court of Appeal President Datuk Seri Abu Bakar Jais dissented. The decision brings an end to the three-year legal battle.
After the former Youth and Sports Minister’s convictions by the High Court were overturned by the Court of Appeal last year.
