JOHOR BAHRU, July 13 — Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi has announced Monday, July 13, as a special state holiday to thank Johoreans for participating in the state election.
The declaration was made with the consent of Regent of Johor Tunku Ismail Idris following Barisan Nasional’s (BN)landslide victory, in which the coalition won 48 of 56 seats.
Onn Hafiz also expressed gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim and the Regent for their confidence in his reappointment as Johor Menteri Besar.
