GEORGE TOWN, July 16 — Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow announced that the long-delayed Victoria Specialist Hospital project at Taman Manggis has resumed and is expected to be completed by August 2029.
The mixed-use development, led by Kuala Lumpur International Dental Centre Sdn. Bhd. (KLIDC) under new management.
Will feature a 21-storey building comprising a 151-bed specialist hospital and a 264-room hotel. Construction is expected to begin in August 2026.
Wth the project projected to create 800 jobs and support Penang’s growing private healthcare and medical tourism sectors.
