KUALA LUMPUR, July 17 — Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the 200-litre monthly BUDI95 quota is sufficient for most motorists.
As government data shows average RON95 consumption is around 100 litres per month, with fewer than 1% of users exceeding 200 litres.
He said the subsidised RM1.99 per litre price remains for the first 200 litres, while the government will continue reviewing the scheme based on actual usage and fiscal sustainability.
Separately, the Ministry of Finance announced that unsubsidised RON95 will rise 5 sen to RM3.42 per litre, while unsubsidised diesel will increase 10 sen to RM4.07 per litre until July 22.
