GEORGE TOWN, July 18 — Consumers’ Association of Penang (CAP) has urged stronger protection for frogs, warning that their decline threatens biodiversity and environmental health.
The association said Malaysia is home to 254 species of frogs and toads, which play an important role in controlling pests and maintaining ecological balance.
CAP called for better protection of wetlands and forests, alongside reduced pesticide use, to safeguard frog populations and preserve healthy ecosystems for future generations.
