PUTRAJAYA, July 18 — Dzulkefly Ahmad said the Health Ministry aims to offer permanent positions to all housemen immediately after completing their training by 2028.
He said the reform is being implemented through the Inter-Ministerial Joint Task Force (IMJTF), with 4,500 contract medical officers to be absorbed into permanent posts this year.
And 800 new permanent positions approved annually. Dzulkefly added that the ministry remains on track to fill more than 18,000 healthcare vacancies in 2026.
