GEORGE TOWN, July 21 — The Penang government has appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services Sdn. Bhd. (PwC) as the consultant.
To prepare the White Paper, Strategic Blueprint and Action Plan for the proposed Penang International Financial Centre (PIFC).
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said PwC has been given 20 weeks to complete the three key documents, which will guide the establishment and development of the PIFC.
He said the initiative will leverage Penang’s strong electrical and electronics (E&E) ecosystem while strengthening technology-driven financial services.
PwC will also conduct engagement sessions with industry players, regulators, academics and other stakeholders before finalising its recommendations
