KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has directed the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to investigate allegations.
That influencer Khairul Aming’spersonal data was accessed and shared without authorisation. The issue arose after a social media user publicly claimed to know details of Khairul Aming’s mobile phone bill.
Khairul Aming questioned how the information was obtained, describing it as personal data. Fahmi said sharing personally identifiable information without consent.
May breach the Personal Data Protection Act, and urged anyone facing similar incidents to lodge reports with MCMC.
