KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Malaysia will not bow to pressure from several United States lawmakers over its long-standing policy.
Barring Israeli citizens from entering the country. Anwar said the policy has been in place for decades and does not violate international law.
Stressing that Malaysia opposes Israel’s actions in Palestine rather than the Jewish community. He said Malaysia, as a sovereign nation, has the right to determine its own immigration policies.
The Prime Minister also dismissed calls by US lawmakers to review bilateral ties, adding that Malaysia remains open to American citizens, businesses and investments while maintaining its principled stand on Palestine.
