GEORGE TOWN, July 23 — Consumers’ Association of Penang (CAP) has called for stronger efforts to prevent dengue, warning that the disease remains a public health concern despite fewer reported cases.
The association said stagnant water at construction sites, clogged drains and discarded plastic waste continue to provide breeding grounds for Aedes mosquitoes.
CAP urged authorities, developers and the public to work together to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and reduce dengue outbreaks.
