PUTRAJAYA, July 23 — The Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP) has launched an investigation into the alleged unauthorised disclosure of Maxis customer data.
Following the leak of influencer Khairul Aming’s account and billing details on social media. JPDP said the investigation is being conducted under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
With enforcement action to follow if any breach is established. The department also reminded organisations to strengthen data security measures.
And ensure customer information is protected against unauthorised access.
