KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — Malaysia is set to return to the Formula One calendar after nine years, with the Sepang International Circuit expected to host the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix from Oct 2-4, 2026.
Positioned between the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix, the event will replace Bahrain’s cancelled round following the conflict in the Middle East.
The race will retain the Bahrain Grand Prix title while being staged in Malaysia. The arrangement remains subject to final agreements and official approval by Formula One and the FIA.
